Twenty minute visit that was 45 minute late past the three hour window
Brian - Port Richey, FL
To start off you were 45 minutes late to your three hour window. When he arrived your diagnostic service trip fee was $67 that consisted of your tech taking the thermostat off the wall putting it back on walking into the garage and saying your unit is very quiet is it on. Then went to the outside unit to find the common problem that I researched before he arrived that ended up being the capacitor that he was already prepared to change. He had it changed and covered by the time I went inside and grabbed my wallet. It took less then 10 minutes total to change. He did however was nice and courteous to install a PVC T in the drain to replace the existing one that was there to make me feel better about the $176 charge for the installation of the new compositor It was $120 for 15 minutes for the $56 part that you can get for $20 online So the $36 was a convenience fee. For the grand total of $243 Needless to say I will not be requiring your services again and will not be recommending you to anyone else

I called around 1230 on a Saturday afternoon, within an hour the tech was at my house. I have very little knowledge and even less experience fixing AC units, so they tech could have told me I needed an entire new system and I would have believed him. Instead he was very honest, explained the problem and told me I could run into issue down the road but he explained how I could fix myself. Instead of worrying about the issue happening later down the road, I decided to go ahead and order the part anyway. The service agent didn’t push the item on me, I made that decision based on his honest approach to the problem and figured, like a good car mechanic, might as well let someone who was honest and upfront work on the unit. Very happy with the service and how quickly they were at my house. Thank you!
Excellent service rep .. David .

Spoke with property manager about previous call. Advise customer of size of unit (1.5 ton) and need for proper subcool to be efficient and effectively cool during summer months. Drain line disconnected by platform reconnected drain line flushed out drain. Tune up completeed. Replace pan and inline float switch had electronic one in that we had lots of failures with did not charge because we've been changing these out so we don't have troubles down the road
Found a r22 leak in the condenser. Sealed the leak and replaced the drier. Pressure tested and pulled the system below 500 micros. Added mine pounds of r22. Explained to the customer that this system is phased out and out of warranty. Should be replaced. No warranty on r22. Warranty only on my brazing repairs today. Location of repair is the outdoor TXV feeder tube and 3/8 filter drier.

Upon arrival the owner said a system is cooling but all the stats were set for eighty. He said that he has five units but all techs said two were running off of one stat. I went into attic and traced wires. I found the 5th thermostat that no one could find. It was set to 70 and fan switch on instead of auto. He wanted it tuneup also. No charge for this call per 475 and tune up is on separate invoice.
Upon arrival found outdoor unit breaker on the off position, turn breakers and check main voltage, during diagnostic found thermostat not operating, advised client system condition and explained that thermostat need replacement before continuing with the diagnostic, after thermostat replacement found blower motor not operating, client stated system it's not being operating over a year old, advised the system condition and the type of motor that unit it's in there, client still want a quote for blower motor replacement, client ask if we do financing of repairs, the tech on site warned that we don't do financing on repairs and if we do only on mayor expenses and system replacement, call client with quote of blower motor replacement
Routine maintenance Noted Refrigerant charge a little low Indoor evap coil ends rusted heavily Indoor evap coil entering surface loading with microbial blobs, cleaning would be difficult extreamly due to how unit is installed Recommending new system be considered due to age and conditions
Found dual run capacitor weak by 40%. This will cause both outdoor fan and compressor to overheat and intermittently shut off. Replaced capacitor restarted cooling. Checked running amps on compressor and fan motor.
Test system system working properly found pleated filter plug replace filter
When arrived house was 82f, thermostat set to 82f. Dropped temp at thermostat to 80f. Indoor and outdoor unit came on. Check temperature drop across coil, 19f. Charge still good, no evidence if water in pan or float. Spoke to owner, neighbor only notice they never heard unit run but didn't go in and check.
Found system at set temperature, but as the day gets longer or hotter the system fails to keep up with temperature rise. Had only 10° TD across evaporator coil. Checked OD unit and found it 2 lbs low on R22 refrigerant. Installed R22 and system now has 16° across coil. Leak searched and could only find machine going off around evaporator coil. Could not pin point leak at this time. Note: Coil is obsolete. System is 16 years old and should be replaced. That being said it is operating properly or as good as possible now.
Knock on door rang doorbell no answer left door knocker this house has two systems let them know that it'll be $99 per systeml
Found float attached to unit bone dry (indicates primary pan may have a cracked/void) Removed water from emer pan (water still leaking at capped drain, corrected) There is no float safety in emer pan (prior quote) Noted: AHU in right hand application, all components required for left hand to right hand were not done by installing contractor (uncapped aux drain, improper support of evaporator/primary pan, improper configuration of evaporator apex air/water diverted. Have temporary attached water hose to emer drain connection & customer will monitor Approx cost to repair 1000.00 or less Age of system dictates consideration for replacing rather than repairing
Found failed outdoor fan motor and weak run capacitor
Upon arrival I inspected the equipment. I found it 20 years old and had trouble cooling. The evaporator coil was impacted. We discussed all options and prices of new units. I filled out job replacement sheet and took pictures. They are going to talk it over and call if they decide to purchase new system.
Annual ac tuneup and cleaning. I checked refrigerant pressures and static pressure. I checked all amp draws capacitor and contactor. I checked temp splits. I waxed outdoor unit and cleaned both coils. I flushed drainline multiple times. I got equipment info. I did not find any problems at this time.
Found the system off on float. Removed the water from the float reservoir and flushed the drain system. Note: found a lot of water within the air handler. To find out from the tenant that the landlord used the garden hose to run water from outside in which would have caused this issue.
System low on charge, compressor making tinny sound. Adjusted charge, noise went away.
upon arrival I removed old condenser and installed temp unit., then added 1o lbs r22. It is cooling at this time.
Performed a routine maintenance Cleaned indoor coil with DDD and second time with peroxide Advised customer to add peroxide to drain pan or spray treat coil w/peroxide
service call completed, upon arrival client stated unit not cooling, check and inspect air handle, noticed float switch has some water, removed switch and system started normally, advised client that we can drain and flush condensation line, client didn't want to pay for the drain cleaning service and did it by himself, only charged service call fee, recommended to scheduled a system tune up
