Overall very satisfied. My only peeve is that a newbie brazed the line set and in my opinion was not good at it. The line was grossly over heated and might have cause internal O rings and pistons damage (time will tell). That job should have been left to someone more skilled. I know you would think I'm picky and how does one learn but by doing? True. Still, I believe that this type of skill should be practiced in the shop not in the field. In the end I am very satisfied with the price, equipment I chose, and the overall installation done by the crew. would recommend to others.

David - Port Richey, FL 34668
Charged $87 dollars for looking for the problem I already briefed on. kept getting told that they would look at what needs to be done then and that would cost $87 even though I told the person on the phone and the tech on site what needed to be done. Over charge, I will use someone else in the future. The person doing the work was great.
Great Service!

Matt was the only one out of multiple companies to understand that even if the air was running, there could be a major issue with the system that was creating problems in my home. He recommended a two step process if necessary. My home is now comfortable and safe. He was efficient, easy to work with, and very customer oriented. I would recommend Matt Clinton and Bay Area Air Conditioning without reservation!

I had Glen out today to fix my AC since it abruptly stopped working. He came out within a few hours and worked hard to get it to work again. Thank you for your honestly, fair price, and determination to leave me with a working AC without an immediate replacement!

Fixed loose flex in air handler. Washed and rinsed Condensor. Cleaned indoor and outdoor coils. Added 2 lbs of refrigerant to bring subcooling to 10. Unit is running at this time. Found the humidity settings turned off. Adjusted the settings to allow dehumification. Corrected the humidity reading by 8 % and tested the cooling and dehumification.

Found that the air handler breaker was tripped. Checked all the connections and ensured they were secure. The heating element is pulling 41.7 amps. The customer told me before they replaced the breaker they had to push on the breaker to get it to connect to the electrical panel. The panel itself could be damaged at this point causing the breaker to over heat and turn off.

Returned to take a picture of a main breaker that will need to be replaced.

Paul@bayareacool.com
Upon arrival customer stated that unit is not working. Found out that there is no 24v from transformer. Found no 240v coming into the breaker at the air handler as well as the breaker at the main panel. When I switched the breaker at the main panel off and back on, the 240v came back. Unit is running normally.

2/21 installed temporary motor & tested. Waiting on OEM motor

Upon arrival the stat was blank. I checked float and it was dry. Homeowner said they had power surge early this morning. I reset breakers and system started. I set controller to cool 80 and was 75 in house. I showed homeowner which 2 breakers to reset if it ever happened again.

Jeff M.
Upon arrival the homeowner said it would not blow out real warm air. I removed the eco mode from controller to allow heat strip assist heat pump. I showed homeowner how to switch back to eco if he ever wants to. The trmp display on ecobee matched my probe temp and his external room thermometer.

Jeff M.
Upon arrival the homeowner said breaker would trip when heat strip came on. Homeowner replaced burnt breaker prior. I removed heat strip and inspected. I could jot see anything wrong. I reinstalled strip and it worked fine. It was only pulling 34 amps and not tripping breaker. I did jot find any wrong at this time. Another company said it was pulling 70 amps.

Jeff M.
Upon arrival I installed defrost board and installed a UV light kit. It is cooling at this time. UV light is working.

Matt C.
Completed the maintenance inspection.

Jeff M.
Homeowner had me reschedule till after the 1st of the month.

Installed new heater assembly with appropriate wire harness & tested(34amp) Blower motor was suspect on prior call, confirmed both operating power and control signal at motor, motor wont respond Need motor 1/3hp Today's charges (160.00) to be transferred to next invoice for motor replacement

Matt C.
Repaired the refrigerant leak, pressure tested with Nitrogen, pulled a vacuum down to 450 microns and adjusted the Subcooling to 10 degrees. Two year labor warranty on today's refrigerant repair.

Jeff M.
Upon arrival the heat was luke warm. The system was in auxiliary heat and is only a 5 kw heater. I checked amps to heat strip. Then I checked in heat mode. I checked pressures and and were good. I explained that system should be in heat mode not emergency heat. I explained how air will be luke warm during defrost cycle only because of a 5 kw heatstrip. I explained all functions of controller and house was heating well when heat pump was working.

Matt C.
Installed the infinity controller and rewired the system. Programmed the thermostat and explained how to operate the stat. Also noticed a small leak at the air handler. We will be returning to repair that issue at another date.

Bill H.
Could not get ahold of customer tried twice. Voice mail was full

Upon arrival, customer stated that the unit is not running. Inspected and found that there was no 24v out of transformer. Installed different transformer and still found no 24v. Inspected breaker and found only 1 leg sending power. 60 Amp 2 Pole Cutler-Hammer Breaker in air handler must be replaced.

Jeff M.
Upon arrival the condenser was stuck in the defrost mode. I found defrost board burnt. I got system out of defrost mode and is heating. I submitted quotefor new board and sensor. Homeowner asked about a quote for UV Bulb kit. I quoted kit. I instructed Homeowner it might stick again when frost starts building on coil and needs to defrost. Homeowner is waiting on defrost board quote. Goodman system.

Matt C.
Found a blown fuse due to a low voltage short at the condenser. Repaired the wire and replaced the fuse. The system is up and heating.

Matt C.
Replaced the high voltage wiring, breaker, and heater for the air handler. Upgrade from a 5 kw to a 10 kw heater. David to bill customer

Jeff M.
Upon arrival the house was not warming up. I turned heat on to see if heat strip was working. It was working. The problem is that it is a straight cool system and only has heat strip for heating. They only have a 5kw strip. They need a 10kw. The reasoning for the 5kw is that there is only #10 romex going to airhandler. A new branch circuit would need to be ran to the breaker box across the room. The panel is a 150amp service. A new heat strip, breaker and #6 wire need ran to correct problem if electrical codes can be met. Nothing I can do at this time to get more heat.

Jeff W.
No heat strip. Customer states Em heat previously disconnected but thermostat has been replaced since. I reconnected wiring and test operation. Heat strip comes on when call and off for cooling. Added 2 lbs R410A. OD fan motor not coming on. Quote new equipment.

Jeff W.
Called, no answer. Sent email for estimate of drain line only replaced.

Jeff M.
Canceled call tonight. It is too late but wants service tomorrow morning
