Matt is the fifth employee from Bay Area AC to come out to our house for sales, service, upgrades, etc. I would trust all of them entirely. This is the best company with the best employees ever. They all know what they are doing, are honest (refreshingly, even the salesman), and the company even registered our equipment for us so that Carrier would double our warranty (something that our previous company with Bryant didn’t do). We had several quotes before buying the system, and Jim was the ONLY one who did math calculations to recommend the size of the system we needed. ALL the others were emphatic that we needed one ton larger than we (and the Duke energy inspector) thought we needed. AND, they ended up being cheaper for like specifications and most or all the others. Amazing! Thank you, Matt et all.

Joy - Land O' Lakes, FL 34637
The technician Came on time and got to work checking over my recently installed Carrier unit. There was a small odor intermittently from my air —“ conditioner “ that is an add on to my Carrier unit . It’s purpose is to prevent mold or allergens in my house. It makes peroxide naturally and I was not sure why it smelled like peroxide off and on. I was assured it’s no big deal to dial it back a bit and there will be no odor , I was told That the Add on to my Carrier unit will still remove allergens from of the air. Yea!! My daughter said my house smells really clean and fresh which was a bonus,,because a HEALTHY house was my goal. Joy The service call was a follow up, so no cost to me.
Great service!

Changed some settings on the thermostat in the main bedroom to allow dehumification.

Matt C.
Found the system low on r22 and a bad capacitor. The customer still wanted me to only add one pound of r22 which wasn't enough. More is needed.

installed new blower motor and AH control board (1185246 & 1191443), removed factory filter from AH & tested blower funcrions Per quote 252.00 Noted TSP over 1", while checking remote filters found a 14" butterfly damper in main return (90% closed). Fully opened damper and rechecked static values Ducting needs further examination

Installed the Ecobee Smart thermostat pro and set up the dehumification and tested the systems operation.

Matt C.
Checked over the wiring on the customers provided thermostat to find that the ecobee3 lite series doesn't offer dehumification option. Only the non lite series offered dehumification.

Found peace of foam stuck on fan blade took off no more noise unit isna 2021 temporary. Also replaced filter that customer provided.

Carolyn R.
Customer stated that system was only blowing hot air. Upon inspecting air handler, I noticed that the reversing valve wire going to the condenser was not being energized due to a break in the wire. I spliced the wires and now the reversing valve is being energized and the system is cooling. I made sure the system operates properly in heating and cooling. Unit is running at this time. Supply air temp in cooling: 51°F

Matt C.
Found a faulty safety switch at the air handler. Replaced the switch at no charge per David T. Flushed the drain line and tested the cooling operation.

Matt C.
Checked system. Found strange noise coming from condenser when blower ramps to low fan speed. Blower Motor seems to have a mind of its own. Return static pressure went from .18 to .45 then to .37. The customer is sick of this unit and the problems it's been having and would rather have it replaced.

Matt C.
Spoke with the customer.

Matt C.
No answer. Wasn't able to answer the customers question.

System had returned to normal function prior to service call One fault 41 and one stage down were recorded (4 zone damper controls) Non of the possible causes for the fault were apparent at the present time. Existing filter (infinity air purifier) is dirty to excess, customer had a spare. Dated & installed same Set filter timer from 3 mnths to 6

Jeff W.
Check system operation. System operating and turned off. Customer states blower motor runs constantly. Couldn't reproduce that condition. Warranty.

Carolyn R.
Found 3 problems with system. 1 - The 40 amp breaker to condenser was tripped. 2- Reason was service disconnect was shorting against door because retainer screw was missing. 3- System was low on 410A by 2lbs. Leak searched and found no leak. Did find both caps missing

Carolyn R.
Not today he is going to call on Monday

Glen H.
Verified no refrigerant in system Verified heavy oil residue in pan of cased coil Noted furnace door cams are laying on unit Noted general condition of equipment reflects age (9yrs) No opinion can be rendered on compressors ability to pump refrigerant properly.

Jeff M.
Upon the condenser would not start. I removed stat and jumpeted green, red and yellow wires. Then I found no 24 volts to condenser. I went to airhandler and checked voltage at board, then I noticed dark blue wire was used for common at condenser and light blue at airhandler. I switched dark blue to light blue and system started. Then I got all technical data. I added 1lb refrigerant to long lineset and to hit target subcooling. Then I cleaned up wires that were hanging to make for a better install. Then I explained operations of of controller homeowner. Then I removed filter from inside grill since purifier was installed at new unit. It is cooling and heating as desired and ready for inspection.

Jeff M.
Upon arrival there was no one home. I rescheduled for tomorrow

Ma Bed in complaint; Per Mr. wants warmer in winter and in summer, feels existing temps for cooling are adequate Customer understands now that only zoning can achieve what he wants (4500.00 tp 4800.00) add on. Adding/enlarging return air from Ma Bed would not correct temp as this would make for cooler temps in cooling and warmer temps for hheatingthe opposite of what homeowner wishes. Recommend setting controller to a warmer value for heat. Noted most supply registers were either too open or too closed, adjusted all to desired throw. Noted 2 smaller bedrooms have 2 registers each, these rooms will be expected to be much warmer in heating and colder in cooling

Glen H.
Blower motor "bumping" attempting to start Replaced & tested Made repair to panel door insulation which was starting to come loose

Jeff M.
Upon arrival the homeowner wanted me to check and see if mold was in the inside of plenum. The outside was black do to tape coming loose and leaking cold air. I removed a lot of tape with black on it. Then I resealed with spray adhesive and silver foil tape. Then I applied mastic to voter tape and seal it. I repaired a big leak I the return plastic well. There was no mold inside and airhandler is sealed as good as I could get snd reach.
